Typography & Science The Second International Poster Exhibition of Fazili Academy
The Second Fazili International Poster Exhibition, held in Isfahan, Iran, from July 6-11, 2024, brought together typography design and science under the theme Typography & Science. Curated and directed by Ghazal Hosseini, the exhibition took place at the Isfahan Municipality Central Library.
The exhibition emphasized the intersection of art and scientific research by showcasing the power and impact of typographic design. The event featured rich content contributed by talented artists, designers, and academics.
Students from the Graphic Design Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University successfully represented Turkey at the exhibition. Under the coordination of the Faculty's Dean, Prof. Didem Çatal, students Barkın Bozkurt, Yağmur İnan, Tuğçe Güler, and Ömer Kaan Uysal participated in the exhibition with their works. These students gained significant international experience by presenting scientific concepts through an aesthetic lens.
The event featured participants from a wide range of countries, including Iran, Taiwan, Poland, the United States, China, and Turkey. Prof. Didem Çatal commented on the exhibition, saying, "It is extremely important for us that our students represented Turkey on an international platform. As a department, we frequently participate in international events, but this exhibition had special significance as it demonstrated our students' ability to produce creative work at the intersection of science and art. We will continue to participate in such events and further our efforts in the future."
